Adam Rafferty – Michael Jackson – Man in the Mirror – Solo Acoustic Fingerstyle Guitar

  • Sharebar

Greetings! I love this tune!!! “Man in the Mirror” by Michael Jackson. This was a #1 hit in 1988 when it was released off his 7th solo album, “Bad”. This has become a favorite of fingerstyle guitarists, and the first great arrangement of this came from Tuck Andress. In developing this arrangement I avoided listening to Tuck Andress’ version completely. I wanted to see how I’d solve musical “problems / puzzles” and afterwards compare to his. It’s amazing to see someone approach a tune so differently. Now that I have this arrangement, I plan to listen to Tuck’s version closely to see what I left out and incorporate it into the next version of this one!

  11. I favorited a YouTube video — Adam Rafferty – "Rock With You" – Michael Jackson – Solo…

  12. RT 'Man in the Mirror' (written by Siedah Garrett) was released on this day, January 9th, in 1988!

  13. Blankets name isn't blanket lol… That's his nickname because there's Prince Michael Jackson II and Prince Michael Jackson III… which is blanket.
Because Michael Jackson is Prince Michael Jackson I
BUT… there are some RETARDED celebrity names… Like Pilot Inspektor (Not even kidding, guy from 'My Name Is Earl's kid is named that), Audio Science… Rain Bue (or something), Tu Morro (Last name Morro)… Like wtf seriously.

    Not “Jeronimo” but Michael Jackson:

“Other single releases from the album included “Ghosts”, and “Is It Scary?”, which were songs based on a film Jackson created that year titled “Ghosts”.[44] The film, written by Michael Jackson and Stephen King and directed by Stan Winston, features impressive special effects and dance moves choreographed to original music written by Michael Jackson.[45] Jackson dedicated the album to Elton John, who reportedly helped him through his addiction to painkillers, notably morphine.”
