It makes me sad how MJ felt trapped and had to stay home most of the time. He couldn’t take one step out of his house without a million ppl crowdinq around. Poor Mike. Well maybe he can finally be normal
I don’t know why people are calling Barbara Walters mean in this interview. She is only asking what is necessary as an interviewer. You have to ask certain questions that will get the interviewee to answer as fully as possible. She may come off as a little stern but her job is a lot more stressful than normal jobs. Cut the woman some slack.

Michael kept saying through the years: “If you hear a lie often enough, you start to believe it.” Barbara Walters and Diane Sawyer have both used the terms “serious reporter” and “serious journalism” so many times in their interviews, that they believe that very lie!! The only one being serious in their interviews is the person they interview, not the reporter!!
Michael was controversial for us but he wasn’t controversial for himself because it was normal for him! He never felt this feeling of normality that we have. From his childhood he needed to create his own space so asking him if he does think that his look is controvercial is just stupid. things bout him that are controversial for us wont be controversial for him cause he never got a chance to see “our normal world”
why is that every time michael does an interview the interviewer is an asshole to him ?

BTW she Barbra Walters, like a lot of people, may have been jealous. In the interview MJ is very animated with his descriptions of his life and what he has to go through, maybe its even an adventurous life. It may have seemed like a hectic life to him, but most of the people he surrounded himself with and invited into his life may have been envious of what he had.
I love Michael Jackson very much, but most of the stuff she is saying is true. Michael was very controversal for a lot of things and he knew that. It was his idea to put out some of those crazy obsurd tabloids such as him buying the elephant mans bones, sleeping in a hypobaric chamber etc. Idk what his intentional plan was to put a hault to the insults if he was doing all of that behind the scenes. He brought the attention to himself, so she is right in a way.
bitch she wanted MJ to end up in jail.
In fact it´s she who should end up there!

Not to defend Barbara here but she HAD to ask the hard questions! Those were the questions everyone wanted to hear! Do you think people were interested in hearing what his favourite colour was? Of course not. They wanted to see him respond to “Have you molested children?” You can’t be credited as a good journalists if you don’t get the answers others want to hear.
