Reverend Al Sharpton eulogizes Michael Jackson. At one point, he tells his family, “There was nothing strange about your daddy. It was strange what your daddy had to deal with, but he dealt with it.”
Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Ray Charles were around way before him. Give them their due . Oh, don’t forget MLK Jr. Al is giving Jackson way too much credit.
You better say it Al Sharpton!!!!!That’s what I’m saying, that’s a shame how they did him, but God gone get they asses back for that, they think it aint coming back to them, but it is goddamit, it is!!!!
Has there ever been a more crazy statement every made that “There was nothing strange about (Michael Jackson).” If a businessman or a blue collar laborer make the same statements about childrenand have the same relationship with children, would any community in American accept them as normal? MJ was a great entertainer, a great leader in the cause of peace, liked to share his bed with children, and broke many racial barriers.
This is a direct response to, dagnew81′s comment. “Okay then perhaps being the spokesman for “White People” is an endeavor worth pursuing”. Here we go again! As I said, America is historically a racist society. You just made that perfectly clear.
The Reverend spoke the truth. All the book cover judges who look at MJ “strangely’ , don’t see the real beauty that God created in this divine entertainer. Judgmental people are missing the true beauty in people. He pushed himself so much to want to entertain, to want to please the fans who truly loved him. It’s a shame it cost him his life …. Drugs are something never to take lightly ….. He should’ve gone into a treatment facility instead.
You know, I typically don’t like Al Sharpton….he’s extremely sensationalist and tends to polarize black and white against each other.
But seeing this, I have to tip my hat to Rev. Sharpton. A very moving, inspirational, and worthy speech, and at the end, vocalizes the thoughts of fans the world over.
America is historically a racist society, yet, born on Equal Rights. There are Extremist that won’t let go and hide in the closet, because if exposed, by law, could lose much. The is much rhetoric about Michael Jackson, much so, by those same extremist, and ignorant people, not wanting to except the true facts about Michael. I am very comfortable, because, I know the true facts. Review some of the comments on Rev. Al Sharpton’s speech, you can see what I mean. They attack the Clergy also!
Everyone has problems…..Why don’t you worry about what’s going on in your own backyard..before you dictate how “americans” should mourn….mind your own damn business and let us mind ours…M’kay…..
Al Sharpton is a media whore, a publicity freak. His name has to be on peoples tongues or maybe he’ll be forgotten. It’s all about the publicity with “Rev” Al
You got to give Al Sharpton credit, he sure knows how to give emotional speeches. It is just unfortunate none of that speech was true. I know he got knocked down, but when did he get back up ??? He was a child molestor and died from drug overdose. Is that getting back on your feet? He broke down color barriers? Ever hear of stevie wonder, louis armstrong, and james brown? You can give those people credit for breaking down color barriers, but not MJ. That is a joke.

“Thankya, Michael”, indeed. Well said, Reverend.
Okay then, perhaps being the spokesperson for ‘White People” is an endeavor worth pursuing. Hopefully you’ll be happy doing so.

Wow!! Did someone actually have the nerve to say that?!?
Amen to that
Better than Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream” speech? Maybe you should do a search on You Tube, watch that, then get back to me.
