[5th March 2009] Michael Jackson gives an anticipated anouncement at the The O2 Grand Concourse in front of press and 2000 fans. Announces a residency in the O2 arena beginning July 2009, and calls it his “curtain call”, at least for London – “this is really it”. Taken from CNN’s live online coverage.
I always thought this press conference looked FAKE as hell. LOL

@gerardhimstefy listen to the way he say’s thank you all, it doesnt sound right.
It doesnt feel like the actual Michael, I mean I wasn’t there all anything, but the way he walked and talked doesn’t sound like himself. I no he was sick, but even in the movie, he sounded better than that.

This make me sad watching it. Especially the part where he says, “I’ll see you in July”. But I LOVE the eyebrow raise at 4:31. LOVE HIM…SO MUCH.

This is not really him. I watch this over and over, along with the so called memorial and the “funerals” and the footage from his This Is It rehearsal and I believe he’s very much still alive. Whoever thinks otherwise, then that’s their problem. As Jackson says himself in his Tabloid Junkie song, “Just because you see it in the magazine or hear it on the t.v. screen don’t make it factual.”
Idk but the way he says Thank you all is a bit strange, Idk Id like to think he is alive. But Dead or alive I still love him. Anyway Whats the matter with his looks? In the movie he still looks awesome!

What the hell are you all on about?! Yeah that’s MJ! Of course he’s not gonna look the same as back in the 80′s, he looks and sounds like he does which is like the same as he did on the 2003 documentry he did only his hair is a bit different.
It’s really sad that he’s gone and I find watching him here quite sad as this year really was it for him but you can see how much he enjoyed giving that speech. R.I.P.

In the physical realm of CDs, retailers are reporting they are selling out of inventory. The CDs with the greatest increases are 'Thriller' and two greatest hits packages, 'Number Ones' and 'The Essential Michael Jackson.' While all album sales have skyrocketed, 'Number Ones' is expected to be the Number 1 album on the Billboard Top 200 albums. Nielsen SoundScan's tracking week ends on Sunday, June 28th and will be released on Wednesday, July 1st.
