Beginning July 6 and ending on December 9, the tour included 55 concerts to an audience of approximately 2 million. It was named after the newly released Jacksons’ album Victory although none of the album’s songs appear on the tour’s set list (Marlon confirmed it was because Michael refused to rehearse or perform them). The tour reportedly grossed 5 million and set a new record for the then-largest grossing tour. Following a controversy with the way tickets were purchased, lead-singer Michael Jackson donated his proceeds (approx. million) from the tour to three charities, including the TJ Martell Foundation for Leukemia and Cancer Research, The United Negro College Fund, and the Ronald mcdonald Camp for Good Times.

loved seeing my Michael during the Victory tour with his brothers. Michael as a young man, explosive and dynamic. He appears to be looking directly at you when he is performing! I know Michael is singing to me!
His performance was authoritative and authentic. Brilliance overflowing on that stage. I adore him in his pants. Young and slim, perfect time to wear those pants. Michael’s hair was so long. I loved seeing his hair shining from the work out!
These are great! Its amazing the quality you were able to salvage out of all of these!! Thank you so much for your great work preserving all these great MJ performances. Hopefully one day we’ll get some DVDs of the tours but until that day your the best out there in my book!
