2. I believe that all the other songs like Thriller or Smooth Criminal were already done on Michael Jackson tributes at other awards shows and the Grammys were smart to avoid that. Earth Song was a personal record for Michael and he did this just for the tour he was about to do last year. The video was beautiful and the tribute was very respectful to Michael Jackson and his many super talents.
