Breaking news from the ClevverMusic headquarters. Christina Aguilera has just been named the headliner for the upcoming Michael Jackson tribute tour. The company putting it on, called Global Live Events, announced the news today, also adding that Cee Lo Green shares top billing with Xtina. They said in a statement, “This announcement is just the beginning, we have many more to announce. This concert will unite various generations and musical genres, reminding everyone of just how amazing a talent Michael was.” Also part of the lineup thus far is Leona Lewis, Smokey Robinson, Alien Ant Farm, JLS and Craig David. While this may be exciting for the fans, not all of the Jacksons are on board with the decision to have a tribute concert. Jermaine and Randy said in a join statement, “We want to make clear that this does not reflect the position of the entire family. While we wholeheartedly support the spirit of a tribute that honors our brother, we find it impossible to support an event that is due to take place during the criminal trial surrounding Michael’s death.” We gotta say we understand where they’re coming from. But it’s still pretty exciting that this is finally happening after so much talk. The Tribute Concert is scheduled for Oct. 8 at the Wales’ Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Great Britain …
