The song contains a fast-paced beat intertwined with Jackson’s lyrics about a woman named Annie, who has been attacked in her apartment by a “smooth” assailant. It was released as a single on October 24, 1988 and peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100.[1] It was re-released on April 10, 2006 as a part of the Visionary: The Video Singles box-set. The re-released Visionary single charted at No. 19 in the UK. The piece is one of Jackson’s signature songs, and has appeared on numerous greatest hits albums, including Number Ones, The Essential Michael Jackson, Michael Jackson: The Ultimate Collection, King of Pop and This Is It (for the New version of song). The song also serves as the theme song to Jackson’s 1988 film Moonwalker.

The song was released by Epic Records on February 11, 2011, as the second single from Michael. The spoken parts were performed by Jackson’s nephew, Taryll Jackson and written by Teddy Riley. An accompanying music video was released on March 10, 2011. It features Algeria-born French dancer Sofia Boutella dressed in a Michael Jackson inspired outfit performing a routine with 60 dancers.

Conrad Murray May Get Maximum Sentence for Killing a Celebrity

Dr. Conrad Murray to get more jail time for killing a celebrity? Hey everyone this is Ani Esmailian for Hollyscoop. Dr. Conrad Murray is set to report to court on Tuesday for sentencing and even though a victims celebrity status should never factor in to sentencing, because Conrad Murray essentially killed Michael Jackson, many legal experts are saying it’s impossible to not factor in the fame of the victim. Conrad Murray faces a maximum of 4 years in jail, and it looks like he may get the full sentence. Also, the District Attorney is asking for 0 million in restitution for Michael’s family, which is an insanely high price for restitution. However, the truth of the matter is that because of new California laws, Murray will probably only spend two years in jail, and not actual prison, and he may be eligible for house arrest.
