They also talk about what kind of a person Jackson was and discuss past accusations that Jackson faced including, molestation charges. Whoopi then goes on to defend Michael and declares he was her friend and she would have left her children alone with him. They also discuss Republican Peter King’s comments that he made toward Michael Jackson.
I loved that Whoopi protected his name. Hard times, these weeks after his death. She was one of the strong voices that helped make it a little easier, simply by standing up and reminding everyone that he was a GOOD person. When you are grieving, it is hard to hear horrible things about the person you love and lost. It doesn’t matter if you were only a fan, you can still love truly and unconditionally.
